Release Day Blitz: Break Me, by Amanda Heath

Break Me Release Day Banner

Synopsis
“Wes, I don’t know what you want me to say here.” Royal’s voice is broken. Maybe he is broken. Maybe I broke him. Lord knows I’m broken myself. “Don’t say anything.” I start off with. There are so many things I want to tell him. The one thing I want him to know, that I want him, I will never say aloud. “When push comes to shove, Royal, you’ll break me. I’d never be the same after you. I’d be a shell of this girl.” His face pales but he doesn’t step away. Something I had planned on. His hands caress my face before he says, “You have that wrong, Wesley. You’ll be the one to break me.”
Wesley Bridges was lost between the living and the dead. She was clinging to her boyfriend, who passed away unexpectedly. She was left with having no way to move on. Her best friends, Annabella and Pierce were to caught up to save her. Even her family turned a blind eye, not able to bare her grief. Then one day, Royal Sanders walked into her life. Tall, dark and sinfully handsome but aren’t all the unattainable ones? At first it was nothing. She was asked to tutor him and found he’s different then even she thought. She even turned to Royal when things got too hard. And when she falls for him, she falls hard. But Royal’s the enemy. A long drawn out hatred brews between her friends and Royal’s. That doesn’t seem important to her, considering she’s still in love with her dead boyfriend. A love triangle between life and death…who will win? Grief is a powerful emotion but there are several different kinds of grief. Betrayal and heartache are still knocking on her door. Things are about to come crashing down around her. It will definitely break her, but will Royal be enough to save her?

Excerpt
When I wake up later that afternoon, I can’t help myself I kiss Royal. It might be a little creepy, but I don’t care. His handsome face is relaxed in sleep, so I lean in and press my lips against his. My hand rises up and pushes through his silkily locks.
When his tongue snakes out and licks at my closed ones, I groan, not realizing he was awake. “That’s a way to wake a guy up, Duchess.” He whispers his voice low and full of promise. His tongue enters my mouth when I open my mouth to reply. It duals with mine, seeking dominance and I let him have it.
He breaks away from me, breathing hard and shallow. Something in his eyes sets my entire body on fire. Before I know it I’m taking my t-shirt off, leaving me only in my pink bra and jeans. “Fuck,” he groans closing his eyes and throwing his head back against the headboard.
His hands glide up and down my sides and I smile a secret smile, getting off on the power. When those hands stop at the back of my bra, I know things are about to get real. I should say something to stop it, but I don’t. After the talk we had earlier, I’m about to throw my heart at Royal and never look back. Though I’m not quite there yet.
My bra comes off quickly and that’s when he opens his eyes, taking in my exposed breasts. He doesn’t speak, but he does lift his head to suck on nipple into his mouth. Now my eyes close and I open my legs to straddle his hips. He’s already hard and I grind against it, loving the friction. When he switches to the other nipple, flicking it hard with his tongue, I decide that’s not my favorite part of sex.
“You taste like heaven.” He murmurs, my nip still in his mouth.
“You feel like heaven,” I gasp, my hips grinding even harder. His start to lift up making the sensation even better. Okay that’s my favorite part.

Launch Day Blitz: Undone, by Shannon Richards

Synopsis
Things Paige Morrison will never understand about Mirabelle, Florida:
  • Why wearing red shoes makes a girl a harlot
  • Why a shop would ever sell something called "buck urine"
  • Why everywhere she goes, she runs into sexy-and infuriating-Brendan King
After losing her job, her apartment, and her boyfriend, Paige has no choice but to leave Philadelphia and move in with her retired parents. For an artsy outsider like Paige, finding her place in the tightly knit town isn't easy-until she meets Brendan, the hot mechanic who's interested in much more than Paige's car. In no time at all, Brendan helps Paige find a new job, new friends, and a happiness she wasn't sure she'd ever feel again. With Brendan by her side, Paige finally feels like she can call Mirabelle home. But when a new bombshell drops, will the couple survive, or will their love come undone?

Excerpt
Paige was wrapped in just a towel as she searched for something to wear. She had exactly twenty minutes before Brendan was supposed to pick her up. There was a knock on her door as her hands closed over a pair of jeans.
“Come in,” she called over her shoulder.
The door opened and Paige turned, throwing her jeans onto her bed.
“What time is he picking you up?” Denise asked as she stuck her head inside the doorway.
Paige had a sudden flashback to high school when her mother would help her get ready before a date. She immediately thought of Brendan and Grace and how their mother had died when they were both so young. They’d missed out on so much, especially Grace. Paige couldn’t imagine not having all of those years with her mother and she felt intensely grateful for every single one of them.
                “At seven. You busy?”
“No,” Denise said, shaking her head.
“Will you sit and talk with me while I get ready?” Paige asked.
“Yeah,” Denise said, her mouth breaking into a smile. She opened the door farther and walked into the room, a glass of wine in hand. She shut the door behind her and sat down on the edge of Paige’s bed, just like old times. “What are you going to wear?” she asked, grabbing a pillow and playing with the frilly lace edging.
“Jeans,” Paige said, pointing to the pair on her bed. “I haven’t decided on a shirt though,” she said and turned back to her closet.
                “Shoes?”
“My black wedges.” She knew they drove Brendan crazy, and that’s exactly what she planned to do tonight. She didn’t feel guilty about it at all either; he obviously had no problem doing it to her. Turnabout was just fair.
“What about your red peasant top. The one that hangs off your shoulders and hugs your waist.”
Paige grabbed the shirt and turned around, holding it up to show her mom.
                “Red on a first date?”
“You look good in red,” Denise said.
“You don’t think it’s too much?”
Her mother gave the blouse a critical eye. “Just wear ugly underwear. If you wear stuff that you don’t want him to see, you’ll be less likely to sleep with him.”
“Mom!” Paige said shocked. “I’m not going to sleep with him on the first date.”
“I know. Just wear something to keep you grounded, and then you won’t slip.”
                “I have some self-control.”
“Yes, well, I’ve seen that boy. Slipping would be completely justifiable considering the circumstances.”
“What circumstances would those be?” Paige asked as she walked over to her dresser and opened her underwear drawer.
“That gleam in his eyes,” Denise said.
“What gleam?” Paige asked, turning to her mom.
“The one he gets when he’s looking at you. It’s something that goes way beyond sex.”
“Well, he is a nice young man,” Paige said mockingly.
“Yes, he is.” Denise nodded, taking a sip of her wine.
She grabbed a fairly tame pair with yellow and white stripes. Stripes didn’t scream “I’m going to have sex tonight,” at least not like black or red lace would have. She could’ve sworn she’d read that stripes were unflattering on everyone. Or was that faux fur?
She dug around in the drawer and found her strapless bra. She grabbed her clothes from the bed and went into the bathroom.

About Author Shannon Richards
Shannon Richard grew up in the Florida Panhandle as the baby sister of two overly protective but loving brothers. She was raised by a more than somewhat eccentric mother, a self-proclaimed vocabularist who showed her how to get lost in a book and a father who passed on his love for coffee and really loud music. She graduated from Florida State University with a BA in English Literature and still lives in Tallahassee where she battles everyday life with writing, reading, and a rant every once in a while. Okay, so the rants might happen on a regular basis. She's still waiting for her Southern, scruffy, Mr. Darcy, and in the meantime writes love stories to indulge her overactive imagination. Oh, and she's a pretty big fan of the whimsy.

About Author L.U. Ann
Author L.U. Ann moved to Colorado from the Eastern Shore of Maryland with her husband and two children. Life in Colorado is so much different. In Maryland, you would find her in the garden tending to her vegetables and flowers, sea glass and shark tooth hunting once a week, and enjoying the kids swimming in the backyard. Her life took a drastic change when her family moved to their own “Little House on the Prairie" at an elevation of over 6,000 feet above sea level, and a semi-arid climate that makes it hard to grow anything. While barely anything can grow where she resides now, the wildlife makes up for it. Mountain Lions, and coyotes, and rattlesnakes, oh my!
She tries to spend a little time each day writing, but domestic chores around the house usually take precedence. She would much rather hide them from her husband. She tends to her loving four-legged children who at times become much too demanding when she locks herself in the office. This often results in MORE domestic work, and she finds herself cleaning up after their deviant behavior.
At night, you’ll find her begging the kids to go to bed so that she can catch up on the latest book before her sister can. Yes, she is an avid reader who escapes her chaotic but wonderful home to the feisty depths of romance land in search of her newest book boyfriend. Shh, don’t tell her husband!
She is an artist by the grace of God. She worked as a set designer for six years, helping establish a local children's theatre where she was the scenery artist, set, and prop designer. Before that, you would find her covered in paint, so engrossed in painting a mural that time didn't exist. Graphic design is her guilty pleasure.
Special Note From L.U. Ann
I created this Young Adult Edition to reach a wider audience. Lacey is nineteen years old and finishing high school. The issues she faces are the very issues a teenager could be facing right now, some possibly even younger.
This series deals with heavy life issues. Issues that are real. It may not be for everyone, but it's a reality for so many. I hope you take some valuable information away from reading A Destructive Novel series. If anything, please read the resources found in the back of each book.
Thank you for the opportunity to tell Lacey’s story. My story.

Spotlight Author: Yessi Smith

I think one of the best things about book blogging is getting the opportunities to discover new authors and great books.  Several weeks ago we had the opportunity to read, review and promote, Life's A Cappella, a new book from author Yessi Smith.  We enjoyed her work so much we decided she should be our spotlight author this week!

I’m a Hispanic living in South Florida with my redneck husband from Texas and our “half breed” son, who is actually the reason I started writing again after years of celibacy. My son loves stories, but not the kind you can read in an existing book. No, he’d rather make up a story, complete with our own illustrations. So, thank you, Son, for igniting a flame I had let go out. I also live with two dogs: a neurotic Border Collie we call Nitro and a midget Rottweiler named Nisa.
I have always found my sanctuary at the beach and in music and writing. I wish I could write rhymes so I could become a famous rapper, but rhyming is completely lost on me.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s in Human Resource Management. I have held several jobs, from picking up dog crap to upper management positions. And now I am hoping to leave the business world behind so I can live full time in a world that does not exist until I place my fingers on.

Synopsis

I want to tell you how great my life was. How I lived without regrets. With constant laughter. Without any tears. I want to tell you how I lived each moment to the fullest. How each breath I took was fresh and full of life. With eagerness. Without any fear.
I want to tell you all of that, but then my story would be masked with lies and not worth telling.
My life didn’t start until I left my past. And I left everything. My mother, my friends, my name.
My new name, the name everyone knows me by is Erin Lewis.

Four years after finding the courage to leave her hometown in Alabama, Erin is finally happy with where her life has led her. Not only is she secure in her environment, but the relationships she has formed center her, making her forget how damaged she once was. Before she can fully settle into her new life, her past crashes into her present, unraveling a set of events that destroy the very foundation she has built her new life on
