Review: Sex (Hollywood Love Book 4), by Jillian Dodd

From USA Today bestselling author Jillian Dodd comes the addictive Hollywood Love series. Follow the lives and loves of those who work at Captive Films. Hot, successful, playboy Riley Johnson, whose business success far exceeds his success in love. Movie star, Keatyn Douglas, whose epic love story has spawned a series of books and movies. And Dawson Johnson, who joins Captive with a tragic past. Expect lots of drama, sex, and tabloid-worthy events.

Meet Riley Johnson. CEO of Captive Films. Hot. Rich. Privileged. Seriously Single.
There could never be a reality show about my life. It'd just be work and sex. Lots and lots of sex. No breakups. No fights with friends. Zero drama. Drama's for the movies. Not for me. I'm Riley Johnson. And I've got it all. Brand new jet. Exotic cars. Luxury penthouse. Black card. A different aspiring actress (or two) in my bed every night. I run Captive Films. Where we leave you begging for more. Or maybe that's just me.
My life is perfect. . . Until she walks back into it.

This is a contemporary romance series featuring characters from the USA Today bestselling series The Keatyn Chronicles.

4.25 out of 5 stars

It's always so easy to get sucked back into the lives of Keatyn, Riley, Dallas and all the other Eastbrook alum. This series, written like a TV show should actually be brought to live as a TV series because it's truly fantastic, night time soap material. If I'm going to complain about anything it's that these installments never feel long enough and leave me always wishing for more story, but then again it does keep me coming back, eager for the next release and I'm sure that's the point.

So what's new...I'm even more frustrated with Riley, desperately wanting him to actually grow up and think with his heart and not his well...fill in the blank. Right now his character is sort of self centered and honestly it's not a good look for him. I enjoyed the Katie and Knox storyline, even if it was completely over the top, but even I can admit that proposal was spectacular!  And Dawson and Vanessa, let me just say they are becoming truly one of my favorites, I'm loving their "scenes" and the direction their storyline is taking is simply perfect, I couldn't be more excited these two are finally getting on the same page!

What I'm looking forward to is Riley eventually finding out the truth about Shelby and hopefully Ariela finding more of herself. I feel like with this book we see her just starting to realize she needs to find herself, to make decisions based on what she wants and not just what she thinks is going to make a man happy.  Don't get me wrong I want her and Riley to end up together but I don't want it to be because she is desperate to have him and would be willing to overlook everything just to be with him, and I feel like she is realizing the same. She doesn't owe Riley anything, since the moment she showed back up into his life she's been very truthful and now it's time to go after her own dreams and find a man who is going to love her flaws and all. Fingers crossed that HEA will eventually be with Riley.

Like I said earlier I wish this book hadn't ended because I wasn't ready to leave these characters or their drama, I've said it before and I'll say it again - guilty pleasure! If you haven't read any of these books you're missing out and should give this Jillian Dodd series a chance. These characters are so easy to love and it doesn't take any time to get sucked into their storylines. It has and will always be one of my favorite escapes from reality!
