Review: Songbird Freed by Lisa Edward

Songbird Freed (Songbird Triology, Book 3) by Lisa Edward

Synopsis
My name is Tara O’Connell, and I’ve always believed we control our own fate. That life is a journey with many roads, and the choices we make can shape our future.

Life has presented me with two paths and I’ve chosen one.

Was it right? Did I make the best decision?

After the uncertainty of the last twelve months, my destiny is now crystal-clear to me. I have a man I love more than words can express, a thriving business, and the best friends anyone could ask for. But just when I thought I could put the turmoil of my past behind me and move on, a life-changing phone call has rocked me to the core and turned my life upside-down once more.

To make matters worse, influences outside my control have taken hold and are shattering my perfect world.

But some things are worth fighting for.

Dreams can come true and I’ll do everything in my power to make them happen. But dreams can also be smashed into tiny pieces, and no matter how hard we fight or how hard we wish for something to be, sometimes with the hand we’ve been dealt, we can never win.

Review
4.25 stars

I fell hard for this series after I read the first two books.  So I will say, if you haven't read Songbird and Songbird Caged get to one clicking and enjoy!  After book 1 I was Team Riley, but after book 2 I was 110% Team Cole.  It takes some fantastic writing abilities for an author to change my mind about something, especially who I think someone belongs with forever.  But she did.  As you know at the end of Songbird Caged we discover that Riley is not actually dead, but being held hostage.

Who would Tara choose?  I have to be honest, I was worried about the typical ending of a trilogy. I thought for sure the author would drag out the love triangle and play with my emotions.  I was totally wrong on the typical, run of the mill, average ending.  However, my emotions were all over the place!  It was a freakin roller coaster ride from the first page.  I felt every emotion of every character and loved/hated every minute of it!

I will admit, it is difficult to write this review, because I really want to scream from the rooftops what happens, but it would be unfair to you, the reader, to ruin this journey that you need to experience!  I fell more in love with these characters than I thought was possible and I am hoping that we will get a spinoff soon!  I really don't think you will regret experiencing this story.  Head over to amazon and click this book today!  Just don't blame me, when you can't get enough!
